Constellation
Constellation consists of a Ground Central hub and wireless Satellites.
Each Satellite captures motion from different parts of your body—arms, ankles, hips, head—translating movement into sound and control data with precision.

Ground Central
Ground Central is the system’s brain.
All Satellites connect here, and all processing happens inside this unit. It features a 2.8-inch color display with an intuitive interface for quick setup and control. Two built-in footswitches let you place it on your pedalboard and control it hands-free.
The back panel uses interchangeable expansion cards—upgrade your I/O without replacing the entire unit. We’re developing cards with different configurations. Ground Central ships with the Audio Card, which includes:
- USB-C connector for power, remote control and firmware upgrades.
- Combo XLR / TRS input with -12 to +40 dB of digitally-adjustable gain. The XLR connector can supply +48V phantom power for condenser and ribbon microphones.
- Stereo ⅛” / 3.5mm headphones output.
- +9-12V power input (2.1mm centre-negative barrel connector).
- Left / right TRS balanced outputs.
- MIDI DIN-5 output.

Satellites
Satellites are wearable devices with IMU sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer), a MEMS mic, RGB LED, and haptic feedback motor.
They connect to Ground Central via a custom RF link—no Bluetooth® or Wi-Fi®—for zero-latency response.
Rechargeable Li-ion battery with USB-C charging.

Six years ago, a group of engineers—many of us musicians—got tired of watching performers sacrifice their connection with the audience just to manage their technology.
We founded MJP Audio Designs to change that.
Our team brings together electronic engineers, audio and DSP specialists, industrial designers, hardware engineers, and software developers. More importantly, we understand what it means to be on stage—the split-second decisions, the need for tools that respond without thinking, the importance of staying present.
That understanding shaped Constellation: a motion-controlled audio platform built to feel immediate and natural. It works independently of computers or smartphones, with no boot-up delays or software interruptions. Just direct, physical control that responds the way you'd expect.
Six years of development and testing with performing artists have refined every detail. Their feedback—honest and unfiltered—helped us create an instrument that gets out of the way, letting performers focus on their craft.
